Summer School
- COURSE LOAD LIMIT: Part-time course load is limited to a maximum of 3 half credit courses (or 2 full high school credits) per student, per semester.
- AGE REQUIREMENT: Students enrolling in Kindergarten individual courses should be 5 years old by September 1 of the school year. Students 21 and older are not eligible to participate in Pearson Online Academy courses. Students should register for courses that match their grade level.
- CORE COURSE REQUIREMENT: To verify learning, teachers conduct curriculum-based assessments by phone for all core courses. This assessment must be completed prior to the end date of each course and is required for a student to receive course credit. Students who do not complete the curriculum-based assessment call will not earn course credit.
- NCAA COURSES:
- NCAA students must maintain course progress communications with teachers at a minimum of four times each semester.
- NCAA students must consistently complete and submit work in the semester-long course with the expectation to complete 85-90 hours of work for each NCAA approved course.
- Students enrolled in an 18-week semester course need to work consistently for no fewer than 15 weeks.
- Students enrolled in a 45-day block scheduled course need to work consistently for no fewer than 40-days.
- Failure to comply with these expectations will jeopardize your eligibility with the NCAA program.
