Steps to Enroll
1. Submit an Application
To submit an application, you'll need to:
Create an account in the - Enrollment Portal.
Submit all required information, and documentation for your student.
2. Accept the offer of Enrollment and Pay Tuition
Our Enrollment Team will review your application & documents.
You may receive communication from our Family Enrollment Counselors requesting additional information if needed.
Once your application has been reviewed, you’ll receive notification via email of acceptance. Log back into the Enrollment Portal to accept the offer of enrollment and complete your tuition payment or set up a payment plan.
3. Gain Access to Pearson Online Classroom & Complete Course Placement
K–8 students: Placement will be handled by our placement support team.
9–12 students: Schedule your placement appointment with our Counselors through your account in the Pearson Online Classroom.
4. Orientation & Onboarding—You’re All Set!
Now it’s time to prepare for the start of your student’s new school experience.
Have your student login to Pearson Online Classroom and complete their Learner Profile.

Pearson Online Academy Enrollment Checklist and Eligibility Requirements
Preparing for Enrollment
Use the enrollment checklist below to gather the documents you will need. Once you have your documents ready, it’s easy to create an account and complete the application in our enrollment portal.
Age Eligibility
Kindergarten: Any student enrolling in kindergarten must be five (5) years old on or before August 15 in the school year for which they are enrolling.
High School: Students who are 21 years of age or older by September 1 may not enroll in Pearson Online Academy. A student who turns 21 during the school year may remain enrolled through the end of the year, but will be ineligible for enrollment the following year.
Required Documents
The documents below are required to enroll in Pearson Online Academy.
Proof of Age
A copy of one of the following documents for the student to verify age eligibility:
- Official birth certificate
- Passport
- Official government-provided identity card (e.g., driver’s license, green card, permanent resident card)

Important Documents
Prior Academic Records
Providing prior academic records allows for a smooth transition from your current academic experience into the correct courses at Pearson Online Academy. All student will be asked to submit academic records.
If a student’s academic records include international transcripts, the Pearson Online Academy advisor may determine that to adequately review these records and assess credit validity, the transcripts need to be translated and evaluated. This review is a separate process and all associated fees must be paid by the student/family in advance of the review being completed.
- Report Card
- For students applying for the second semester of kindergarten–ninth grade: Please submit a copy of the report card from the most recent school year.
- For ninth-grade enrollment, students are required to show evidence of successful completion of eighth-grade-level coursework or the equivalent.
- Students who are enrolling in tenth grade and above, and who have completed high school coursework, may transfer credits based on Pearson Online Academy’s Credit Transfer Policy.
- The following items should be included on the report card:
- Student Name
- Grade Level
- School Year (example: 2024–25)
- School Name
- Grading Scale (example: 90–100%=A)
- Unofficial Transcript
- For students applying for tenth–twelfth grade: Submit an unofficial transcript that includes the complete end-of-year grades from the prior school year and any academic documentation (such as a progress report/interim report, class schedule, or marking period/semester report card) issued for the prior school year. Additional documentation may be requested for placement.

- Credits Earned
- Enrollment Notification and Request for Student Records Form
- This form is used to request the student’s records from their previous school. This document is not sent to the school until all enrollment tasks are completed and the student is fully enrolled in Pearson Online Academy. This will serve as formal notification that Pearson Online Academy has enrolled this student for the indicated school year. It requests that the school release all official, cumulative school records for the student to Pearson Online Academy. This form will be available to you in Pearson Online Classroom.
Homeschooled Students
If your children are currently homeschooled, you will be asked to complete a form outlining their homeschool curriculum, plus the enrollment notification and request for student records form. These documents will be available to you in the Pearson Online Classroom.
- Prior Academic History Form
For homeschooled students in kindergarten–twelfth grade: Complete the Prior Academic History Form indicating what courses were completed through a homeschool curriculum. - Enrollment Notification and Request for Student Records Form
For homeschooled students, this form is still required. There is a section for you to indicate that your student was previously homeschooled and that there is no previous public or private schooling within the last 12 months.

Once you have all of the required documentation (outlined above), you are ready to proceed with private school enrollment in Pearson Online Academy.
