Why I Became an Educator
Since a young age, I’ve had a love of learning and wanted to help others find their learning passions. Education was the avenue I chose to help myself, colleagues, and students discover new adventures and gifts that knowledge provides.
Pearson Online Academy has an open-door policy and welcomes all who come to us. Our focus is on ensuring that each and every student is successful in their academic pursuits. We do this by providing strong communication, quality instruction, and a caring and nurturing school environment.
The Online School Experience at Pearson Online Academy
I worked in a traditional classroom, and when I came to online schooling 16 years ago, I didn’t think I would get to know my students personally. I was amazed at the quality time I was able to spend with each student, working on individual learning strengths and weaknesses. It was what I thought I was doing in the traditional classroom, but by coming to online education, I found the pure teaching all educators desire.
Pearson Online Academy allows each student to plot their own path to success. We have guidelines and policies in place, but we also have flexibility and understand each student is unique. We don’t put students in a box, but work with them to find their educational pathways.
The individual attention we give each student here differentiates us from most brick-and-mortar schools.
